This second tier includes one pass for a detailed, line-by-line edit that focuses on making each sentence as effective and true to your voice as possible. The idea here is to strengthen your mastery of language to convey your ideas powerfully and accurately. I will use track changes and more frequent inline comments to:

Tighten sentence structure, break up long sentences, and rewrite awkward phrasing. We want your manuscript to read smoothly and your sentences to flow.

Replace overused words with stronger substitutions to match the piece's overall tone. I'll also look at word choice as a whole to make sure you've chosen the most impactful options.

Suggest removing or moving passages. A lot of writers have unnecessary or repetitive word count. Tightening these sections lends your words clarity and professionalism.

Edit for consistent voice. We want your manuscript to sound like you through its entirety.
