COPY EDITING

This is the first tier of edit that I offer, for manuscripts that are already polished and need one thorough pass for mechanical issues. I will use track changes with occasional inline comments to correct the following:

• Typos, grammar errors, and improper punctuation

• Formatting issues (ie you're missing an indent on a paragraph, a word or phrase should be italicized, etc.) 

• Misused words (think "affect" vs. "effect" or "complement" vs. "compliment") 

• Fact checking, as necessary

• Deviations in style, tone, or consistency (ie character names that are spelled inconsistently)
