COPY EDITING

If your manuscript is polished and you want one final edit before you query or self-publish, a copy edit is your best fit. This is a thorough edit for typos, grammar or punctuation errors, obvious formatting issues, fact checking, and inconsistencies throughout the manuscript (think a character's name spelled differently in various passages). This is not a big-picture edit; rather, it is a final, professional look at your manuscript.

LINE EDITING

If you have a manuscript that's structurally sound, but want a little more help at the line-by-line level, this edit is for you. I will go through your manuscript sentence by sentence to fix sentence structure and awkward phrasing, suggest rearrangement of passages, replace overused words, etc. You can expect less focus on plot, pacing, and character development, as we're getting more molecular with our edits here.

DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING
$0.032/word
Developmental editing is the most in-depth form of editing and is a great place to start if you need a lot of help with your manuscript's "big picture" — think characters, plot, pacing, etc. I'll focus less on spelling and grammar here and more on the bones of the story. All developmental edits include a 5-10 page analysis of the manuscript as a whole, including what you're doing well and where there's room for improvement.
